Beautiful from across the room, exact up close

The poster is drawn from the same records and the same scene graph as the atlas. Eight radio bands, each ten times higher in frequency than the last, run down the sheet, each to its own logarithmic scale, with the U.S. Table’s Federal and non-Federal columns mirrored around every axis. No boundary is moved for looks; labels give way when there is no room, and the bands stay.

This window shows the sheet at true physical scale on a typical screen (96 px per inch). Drag to explore. The smallest service labels are set at 7 pt; where a band is narrower than its label, the label is omitted and the band remains.
